Our Team

Garth Rummery, President

Garth Rummery is the President of Tharp Custom Cabinetry, overseeing all product development, engineering, and process improvement of the Tharp cabinet products and services. Coming from an extensive engineering background, Garth has taken ownership of Tharp since August of 2014, bringing a series of positive changes and many more to come. Garth has gained his training from multiple roles with world class companies, including Berkshire Hathaway (Campbell Hausfeld), Danaher (Fluke, Hennessy, Ammco, Coats), Boston Consulting Group, Delphi Automotive (OnStar, XM/Sirius Satellite radio). The skill sets he utilizes in his roles include Strategic planning and Team building, Sales and Marketing management, Lean transformation and management, Engineering, Project Management, and Six Sigma.

Garth’s education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s of Engineering Management from McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University. Garth, his wife Ming, and their two young boys live in Fort Collins, Colorado. Garth enjoys outdoors sports including hunting, fishing, mountain biking, surfing, and skiing.


Ming Rummery, VP

As Executive Vice President of Tharp, Ming Rummery is responsible for many facets of Tharp’s operations including Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, IT, Employee Benefits, Insurance, and Special Projects. Ming is also part of the partnership team that acquired Tharp in 2014.

Ming started her career with Delphi Automotive as a Mechanical Design Engineer and served with Deloitte Consulting as a Strategy and Operations Consultant. Prior to joining Tharp, Ming spent 8 years with Asurion, a fast growing technology and service company where she held a variety of supply chain roles. She was responsible for building Asurion’s repair operations in the Philippines and expanding its global supply chain models to UK, Korea, Taiwan, and South East Asia.

Ming earned her MBA from Vanderbilt University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Ming enjoys travelling, cooking, reading, and skiing and camping with her family.


Stacy Spears, Human Resources Manager

Stacy Spears’s current position with Tharp Custom Cabinetry is Human Resource Manager and EH&S Manager. She is responsible for managing all aspects of human relations, policy and procedures, Labor Law Compliance, Payroll, Benefits, Worker Compensation, along with Safety and Environmental Compliance.

Stacy has been in the manufacturing industry for 20 years with varying positions. Prior to joining Tharp, Stacy worked as Human Resource Manager in the Modular Home Industry in Colorado, and 8 years prior with Fleetwood Motor Homes in both California and Texas locations. Her first ten plus years was spent at Eastman Chemical Company in North East Texas as an Environmental Design Engineer. She has a Bachelor’s in Science degree from University of Texas, and is SHRM PHR and SHRM- CP Certified.

Stacy considers Colorado home. She loves the mountains and hiking.


Shelly Cox, Controller

Shelly Cox is part of the senior management staff as Tharp’s Financial Controller. Responsible for all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, financial reporting, payroll reporting, job costing and sales tax, along with special projects. During her 30 years in accounting, Shelly has worked in various industries from electronics manufacturing as CFO to media & publishing as Senior Finance Manager. Her special interest is in increasing profitability by streamlining processes using technology and software.

Shelly received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in California, and her MBA from Colorado State University. She enjoys spending time outdoors biking and hiking with her family and dogs. On her bucket list is to bike as many rails to trails as she can along with floating many beautiful rivers.


Keith Adams, Director of Operations and Engineering

Keith Adams is part of Tharp’s senior management staff as Tharp’s Director of Operations and Engineering. Responsible for Lean transformation and management, Quality, Delivery and Productivity.

Keith started his career and spent 16 years with WS Packaging (a JW Childs Company) in Peachtree City Georgia, serving as a Project Manager and Manufacturing Manager. Prior to joining Tharp, Keith spent 6 years with PCS Ferguson (a Dover Company) and 7 years with Hach Company (a Danaher Company).

Keith earned his Bachelor’s in Science degree at Georgia Southern University. Keith and Allison, his wife, live in Fort Collins with their two children and two dogs. Keith enjoys most anything in the Colorado outdoors including hiking and snow skiing, but most enjoys downtime with his family.


Mark Kyner, Operations Manager

Born and raised in Colorado, Mark has 25 years’ experience in local cabinet and furniture manufacturing and management. Having been involved in thousands of projects for clients up and down the Front Range and beyond, he has the experience to lead your project to the finish line. When he’s not working, Mark enjoys photography, fly fishing, hiking, camping, music, and church. He and his wife, Holly, live in Milliken, Colorado.


Rick Szejna, Warranty & Customer Service Manager

Richard Szejna is a Business Unit leader at Tharp Custom Cabinetry, where Richard leads a team of sales and design professionals, engineers and production staff to manufacture high-quality custom cabinetry.

With over 30 years of experience in all aspects of residential and commercial construction, cabinetry, fixture manufacturing, and installation, Richard has had the opportunity to work with many leading companies including, Brookfield Residential, Lencrafters, Audi AG, across the US, Canada, and Europe. Richard currently helps our residential contractors and homeowners bring design to reality with Tharp’s innovative concept of creating individual business units to offer a complete start to finish experience through dedicated teams to meet client objectives. Richard resides in Northern Colorado and is an avid outdoor enthusiast who plans a ski trip into every weekend possible.


Jenae Taylor, Delivery and Finished Goods Inventory Manager

Jenae Taylor is the Delivery and Finished Goods Inventory Manager at Tharp Cabinets, her team is responsible for delivering WOW to all Tharp customers. She joined the Tharp team 3 years ago; she works alongside the Production Manager, scheduling customer deliveries and pickups. Her team consists of the delivery drivers and the finished goods team, driving quality and executing 100% complete deliveries to our customers. Jenae started her career in customer service and billing, scheduling/fulfillment management and analysis. She moved into transportation scheduling and management, she has 25+ years of experience.

Jenae and her family are Colorado Natives and have lived in Loveland for 20 years. Jenae enjoys the little things in life including sunsets, long drives, and good food. In her free time she enjoys baking, painting, attending sporting events, concerts, and hosting family and friends.


Juan Sanchez, Installation and Service Manager

Juan Sanchez is the Installation and Service Manager at Tharp Cabinets, he is responsible for the daily tasks of scheduling Service Technicians and the Installers as well as maintaining and training quality focused staff. He is also responsible for creating and managing technicians and installers to performance scorecards and communicating field issues to production to improve Tharp’s overall quality. Juan started his career in cabinet installation 20 years ago, and has moved into the manufacturing side of the industry when he started working for Tharp Cabinets 3 ½ yrs ago. Juan worked for himself for the last 12yrs with a focus on custom residential homes working exclusively with Caruso Kitchen Designs, as well as for builders such as Austin Signature Homes, Amesbury Homes, Paragon Homes.

Juan and his wife live in Broomfield Colorado with their 3 children. Juan enjoys the outdoors with his family including hiking, fishing and hunting. He also likes to build gazebos and outdoor furniture and ornaments.
