Tharp Cabinet Company has long been associated with fine craftsmanship and high quality custom cabinetry. Locally owned and operated since 1971, Tharp has grown to be Colorado’s largest custom cabinet manufacturer.

PRESIDENT

Garth Rummery

 Garth Rummery is the President of Tharp cabinets,  overseeing all product development, engineering, and process improvement of the Tharp cabinet products and services. Coming  from an extensive engineering background, Garth has taken ownership of Tharp since August of 2014, bringing a series of positive changes and many more to come. Garth has gained his training from multiple roles with world class companies, including Berkshire Hathaway (Campbell Hausfeld), Danaher (Fluke, Hennessy, Ammco, Coats), Boston Consulting Group, Delphi Automotive (OnStar, XM/Sirius Satellite radio). The skill sets he utilizes in his roles include Strategic planning and Team building, Sales and Marketing management, Lean transformation and management, Engineering, Project Management, and Six Sigma.

Garth’s education background includes a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manitoba, a Master’s of Engineering Management from McCormick School of Engineering at Northwestern University, and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University.  Garth, his wife Ming, and their two young boys live in Fort Collins, Colorado. Garth enjoys outdoors sports including hunting, fishing, mountain biking, surfing, and skiing.

As Executive Vice President of Tharp, Ming Rummery is responsible for many facets of Tharp’s operations including Strategic Sourcing, Vendor Management, IT, Employee Benefits, Insurance, and Special Projects. Ming is also part of the partnership team that acquired Tharp in 2014.

Ming started her career with Delphi Automotive as a Mechanical Design Engineer and served with Deloitte Consulting as a Strategy and Operations Consultant. Prior to joining Tharp, Ming spent 8 years with Asurion, a fast growing technology and service company where she held a variety of supply chain roles. She was responsible for building Asurion’s repair operations in the Philippines and expanding its global supply chain models to UK, Korea, Taiwan, and South East Asia.    

Ming earned her MBA from Vanderbilt University and received her Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Nanyang Technological University in Singapore. Ming enjoys travelling, cooking, reading, and skiing and camping with her family.


Brad Wallace-CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

Brad Wallace serves Tharp Cabinet Company in the COO role where he is a consistent contributor with both strong leadership and a wood products expertise that has been over 35 years in the making. Brad has a very strong knowledge and background in wood manufacturing as well as in the building industry which provides for a management perspective that provides for both the company and our primary customers. His career has been consistent to wood and wood manufacturing environments where he has been in various functional roles as well as leadership and management including roles in Design, Product Engineering, Project Management, Estimating, Sales, Materials Management, Director, VP  and COO. Brad has been with Tharp in a leadership role starting in 2012 when he joined as the Director of Sales, and since his coming on board he has also served as the VP of Sales and Service, Service Manager and an Interim Business Unit Leader prior to his current role. Brad has been instrumental in the development of the customer facing aspects of the company while providing industry based insights that have provided a strengthening of our manufacturing environment with improved Quality Standards, product costing and flow metrics as well as helping to create and support innovation throughout the organization.

Brad maintains a passion for continuous learning and his formal education includes Architecture, Manufacturing and Business Management and finds himself enjoying his family and outdoor activities in his spare time.


Brett Zenisek-DIRECTOR OF PROCESS IMPROVEMENT 

Brett joined the Tharp team in 2016 bringing 10 years of Operations Management and Lean Conversion experience. Brett’s responsibilities as Director of Continuous improvement include managing the supporting functions at Tharp including Systems Engineering, Operations Technical Support, Procurement, and Facilities and Maintenance. Brett is responsible for driving change. He and his team take great pride in continuous improvement, always looking for a better, more efficient way. Brett has managed Operations for multiple businesses, producing up to $75M in annual revenue. He has had significant experience with lean conversions; improving production efficiencies, inventory reduction, and maximizing departmental delivery capacity through the utilization of lean concepts.

Brett has a Bachelor’s in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Wyoming and a Master’s in Business Administration from Colorado State University. Brett loves taking advantage of all the great Northern Colorado golf courses the rare times he is able to break away from raising two young boys.


Stacy Spears-human resources manager

Stacy Spears’s current position with Tharp Cabinet is Human Resource Manager and EH&S Manager. She is responsible for managing all aspects of human relations, policy and procedures, Labor Law Compliance, Payroll, Benefits, Worker Compensation, along with Safety and Environmental Compliance.
Stacy has been in the manufacturing industry for 20 years with varying positions. Prior to joining Tharp, Stacy worked as Human Resource Manager in the Modular Home Industry in Colorado, and 8 years prior with Fleetwood Motor Homes in both California and Texas locations. Her first ten plus years was spent at Eastman Chemical Company in North East Texas as an Environmental Design Engineer. She has a Bachelor’s in Science degree from University of Texas, and is SHRM PHR and SHRM- CP Certified.
Stacy considers Colorado home. She loves the mountains and hiking. 


Shelly Cox- controller

Shelly Cox is part of the senior management staff as Tharp’s Financial Controller.  Responsible for all accounting functions including accounts receivable, accounts payable, cash management, financial reporting, payroll reporting, job costing and sales tax, along with special projects.  During her 30 years in accounting, Shelly has worked in various industries from electronics manufacturing as CFO to media & publishing as Senior Finance Manager.  Her special interest is in increasing profitability by streamlining processes using technology and software. 

Shelly received her Bachelor’s degree in Accounting at Cal Poly San Luis Obispo, earned her Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license in California, and her MBA from Colorado State University.   She enjoys spending time outdoors biking and hiking with her family and dogs. On her bucket list is to bike as many rails to trails as she can along with floating many beautiful rivers.


BUsiness Unit Leaders

 

Debbie Hernandez

As a Business Unit Leader with Tharp, Deborah Hernandez is responsible for managing a project team of 30 contributors which consist of sales, design, engineering and service.  Deborah started her career in Woodworking 25 years ago by opening a high end Architectural Woodworking facility in Arizona that specialized in unique and extraordinary finishes.  Prior to moving to Colorado and joining Team Tharp, Deborah was a Program Manager with Western Millwork, Inc., the largest millwork company in Arizona where she co-managed an $8 million dollar independent fixture division dedicated to the Starbucks Coffee Company.  This division experienced tremendous growth, profitability and earned the distinction of being a premier supplier within the first 3 years. Deborah has been married for 30 years and enjoys vegan cooking, music, art and family.

 

MARK KYNER

Born and raised in Colorado, Mark has 25 years’ experience in local cabinet and furniture manufacturing and management. Having been involved in thousands of projects for clients up and down the Front Range and beyond, he has the experience to lead your project to the finish line. When he’s not working, Mark enjoys photography, fly fishing, hiking, camping, music, and church. He and his wife, Holly, live in Milliken, Colorado.

 

Rick Szejna

Richard Szejna is a Business Unit leader at Tharp Cabinet Company, where Richard leads a team of sales and design professionals, engineers and production staff to manufacture high quality custom cabinetry.

With over 30 years experience in all aspects of residential and commercial construction, cabinetry, fixture manufacturing, and installation,  Richard has had the opportunity to work with many leading companies including, Brookfield Residential, Lencrafters, Audi AG, across the US, Canada, and Europe. Richard currently helps our residential contractors and homeowners bring design to reality with Tharp's innovative concept of creating individual business units to offer a complete start to finish experience through dedicated teams to meet client objectives. Richard resides in Northern Colorado and is an avid outdoor enthusiast who plans a ski trip into every weekend possible.
